A New Oasis in Life's Desert

I'm excited to share the Mission's new outreach ministry with you. It was almost ten years ago that God began to impress upon my heart the needs of hurting women within the church. I longed to share hope with these sisters who found themselves in a state of hopelessness because, at times, I had found myself feeling very much like they felt.

Through the years, I have heard many stories of despair, and I know that there are women in our church congregations who carry heavy, SECRET burdens all alone. Similar to me, they are convinced that if they can make everything look good on the outside then things will be okay. Angry and afraid, these women suffer silently believing that no one could accept or understand their pain, so they slowly die on the inside.

The Healing Place outreach offers compassionate care to women of faith within our community and beyond. The human heart was never meant to bury feelings. From personal experience, I know healing comes within the context of relationships; when we allow safe people to share our burdens, we begin to heal.
