While Rockford Rescue Mission staff take care of others in our community, RRM works to take care of our staff members so they can best carry out their roles and missions.

Chief Financial Officer (full-time)
Provide support, oversight, leadership and direction to the Finance and Information Technology (IT) departments. Oversee and direct strategy, systems, reporting, compliance, policies and procedures in accordance with Mission goals, objectives and applicable regulations. Responsible for oversight of an $8.6 million annual operating budget. Collaborate with the Leadership Team to ensure the optimal selection and use of technological solutions; support vendor/broker agreements and information management and conduct feasibility assessments. Salary: $80K-$90K/yr.
Donor/Business Relations Specialist (full-time)
Cultivate and solicit all assigned donors and donor groups through stewardship strategies. Assist donors in achieving their stewardship goals. This will be accomplished through relationship building through various donor cultivation strategies. Rate: $22-$23/hr.
Assistant Facilities Associate (full-time)
Assist with the overall maintenance, repairs and special projects for Rockford Rescue Mission facilities and vehicles. Rate: $18.50/hour.
Instructor/Advocate (full-time)
Provide engaging and relevant lessons to meet the needs of those staying at the Mission, as well as helping to support a person’s ability to move toward stability and personal independence. Provide holistic support through instruction, advocacy and case management to individuals navigating homelessness, addiction recovery or personal instability. Design and facilitate life skills programming; advocate for guests by identifying barriers to progress, coordinating services, and empowering individuals toward long-term personal and spiritual growth. Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to enhance service delivery and promote comprehensive, person-centered care. Rate: $22/hour
Lead Cook (full-time)
Prepare and cook meals for residents and clients of Rockford Rescue Mission. Rate: $17-$18/hour.
Men’s Life Recovery Services Supervisor (full-time)
Supervise all aspects of the Men’s Life Recovery Program. Assist the Recovery Services Director to develop and maintain daily operational procedures to ensure positive outcomes for all residents. Be actively involved in helping to create effective and accountable recovery programming that promotes growth toward personal and spiritual wholeness for all residents, ensuring that clear presentations of the Gospel of Jesus Christ are integrated throughout all aspects of the program. Supervise Recovery staff and volunteers. Develop relationships with community partners to educate them on recovery services. Educate and develop relationships with WCC and MCC supervisors, staff and guests. Salary: $52,000-$56,000/year.
Men’s Life Recovery Coordinator – Evenings (full-time)
Serve Life Recovery Program men toward fulfillment of Mission’s Purpose Statement in behavior, in harmony with our Core Vvalues and Four Life-Changing Practices statement. Maintain a safe, grace-filled environment for residents during working hours. Rate: $21/hour.
Men’s Crisis Coordinator (full-time or part-time, day/evening)
Minister to the spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs of homeless men seeking services from the Rockford Rescue Mission Ministries. Oversee the safety and security of all Crisis Program guests, visitors and volunteers within the RRMM facility. Rate: $16-$18/hr.
Men’s Life Recovery Night Coordinator – Weekends (part-time)
Minister to the social, emotional, mental and physical needs of homeless individuals seeking services from Rockford Rescue Mission. Oversee the safety and security of all Recovery Program clients, visitors and volunteers within the RRM facility. Maintain a non-threatening, drug- and alcohol-free environment. Rate: $21/hour
MLR Day Coordinator – Weekends (part-time)
Minister to the social, emotional, mental and physical needs of homeless individuals seeking services from Rockford Rescue Mission. Oversee the safety and security of all Recovery Program clients, visitors and volunteers within the RRM facility. Maintain a non-threatening, drug- and alcohol-free environment. Rate: $21/hour
Retail Director (full-time)
Develop short- and long-term plans for Thrift Store. Provide overall management to the daily operations of Thrift Store, thereby increasing revenue for program development. Salary: $48,000-$56,000.
Processor (full-time or part-time)
Prepare merchandise for the sales floor. Rate: $16.00/hr.
Custodian (part time)
Maintain cleanliness for designated areas of Rockford Rescue Mission facilities. Assist the Facilities staff in maintaining interior and exterior of Rockford Rescue Mission facilities. Rate: $15-$15.50/hour.
Floor Associate/Cashier (full-time or part-time)
Check out customers in an efficient and Christlike manner. Assist in preparation of cash register drawers. Maintain the appearance of the sales floor by ensuring continual maintenance of all areas. This includes replacing/rearranging merchandise throughout the day to ensure everything is in the proper place and displayed in a neat, shopper-friendly way. Assist with timely transition from season to season and in the pricing of merchandise. Dress windows to attract customers and reflect the seasons. Rate: $15.50/hr.
