Executive Administrative Assistant (full-time)

Provide support and serve as primary point of contact for internal and external clients on matters pertaining to the Chief Executive Officer. The Administrative Assistant also serves as a liaison to the Board of Directors and Executive Leadership Team. Provide confidential executive administrative support to the Chief Executive Officer and Leadership Team in alignment with RRM’s mission, values and goals and be responsible for organizing and coordinating appointments for external relations efforts. Provide administrative support to the Development Department. Help manage Development operations. Complete project-based work assigned by Development leadership.

Controller (full-time)

Provide support, oversight, leadership and direction to the Finance and Information Technology (IT) departments. Oversee and direct strategy, systems, reporting, compliance, policies and procedures in accordance with Mission goals, objectives and applicable regulations. Responsible for oversight of $8.6 million annual operating budget. Collaborate with the Leadership Team to ensure the optimal selection and use of technological solutions; support vendor/broker agreements and information management and conduct feasibility assessments.

Gifts Officer (full-time or part-time)

Cultivate relationships through monthly stewardship strategies to engage major donors, planned giving prospects and new donors.

Donor Systems Coordinator (full-time)

Assist with donor tracking and data input for annual giving, end-of-year giving and special appeals. Assist in operation of systems and processes for regular, meaningful acknowledgement and recognition of donors. Regularly work with confidential information.

Vocational Trainer (full-time)

Assist individuals to successfully prepare for, secure and thrive in career-path-oriented employment. Conduct assessments to provide candidate insight and explore career-path options. Teach candidates biblically based perspectives on employment, job search techniques and how to overcome barriers. In addition, provide coaching, encouragement, motivation and direction, as well as follow-up services. Assist the Aftercare Coach after employment to facilitate retention and continued growth within career path. Interface with local businesses to build positive relationships and viable employment opportunities benefiting candidates and the Mission. Work collaboratively with the Works! Center team to develop, establish and operate a Vocational Training Program.

Cook (full-time and part-time)

Prepare and cook meals for residents and guests of Rockford Rescue Mission.

Stocker (part-time)

Manage incoming donations, store food properly and in a timely manner. In addition, the Stocker will keep the Receiving Area clean and organized. 

 

Driver (part-time)

Under the supervision and direction of the Food Services Supervisor, safely and courteously pick up donations from designated donors and deliver to RRM.

Men’s Life Recovery Evening Coordinator (part-time)

Serve Life Recovery Program men toward the fulfillment of Mission’s Purpose Statement in behavior, in harmony with our Core Values and Four Life Changing Practices statement. Maintain a safe, grace-filled environment for the residents during his working hours.

 

Men’s Crisis Coordinator (full-time and part-time)

Minister to the spiritual, social, emotional, mental and physical needs of those homeless individuals seeking services from the Rockford Rescue Mission. Oversee the safety and security of all Crisis Program guests, day program participants, visitors and volunteers within the RRM facility. Maintain a non-threatening, drug- and alcohol-free environment.

Women’s Life Recovery Evening Coordinator (part-time)

Supervise the evening program and ensure all evening responsibilities are met.  Participate as a cooperative staff member.

Women’s Life Recovery Resident Advocate (part-time)

Case manage assigned residents by providing a comprehensive assessments that addresses their physical, emotional and spiritual health, support systems, educational needs and financial resources. Develop trusting relationships with residents to help them set and achieve goals. Actively participate in the character growth and development of residents. Offer advocacy and referral services. Provide assistance, encouragement, motivation and spiritual direction. Monitor safety and security of residents, visitors and volunteers.

Driver – Box Truck (part-time)

Drive the vehicle for the pickup service of Thrift Store, as well as be responsible for donations received through this service.

Processor (part-time)

Prepare all merchandise for the sales floor.
