While Rockford Rescue Mission staff take care of others in our community, RRM works to take care of our staff members so they can best carry out their roles and missions.

Chaplain (part-time)
Provide pastoral and spiritual guidance and care for the Mission’s staff, guests and residents.
Chief Financial Officer (full-time)
Provide support, oversight, leadership and direction to the Finance and Information Technology (IT) departments. Oversee and direct strategy, systems, reporting, compliance, policies and procedures in accordance with Mission goals, objectives and applicable regulations. Responsible for oversight of an $8.6 million annual operating budget. Collaborate with the Leadership Team to ensure the optimal selection and use of technological solutions; support vendor/broker agreements and information management and conduct feasibility assessments.
Programs Administrative Assistant (full-time)
Provide administrative support to the Chief Program Officer and Program Support Services Director. Effectively manage office operations. Complete project-based work assigned by the Chief Program Officer and Director of Program Support Services.
Donor Relations Specialist (full-time or part-time)
Cultivate and solicit all assigned donors through stewardship strategies. Assist donors in achieving their stewardship goals. This will be accomplished through relationship building through various donor cultivation and planned giving strategies.
Volunteer Supervisor (full-time)
Manage, coordinate and be responsible for the volunteer program of Rockford Rescue Mission.
Facilities Associate (full-time or part-time)
Assist with the overall maintenance, repairs and special projects of buildings and vehicles.
Custodian (full-time)
Assist with the overall maintenance, repairs and special projects of buildings and vehicles.
Vocational Trainer (full-time or part-time)
Assist individuals to successfully prepare for, secure and thrive in career-path-oriented employment. Conduct assessments to provide candidate insight and explore career-path options. Teach candidates biblically based perspectives on employment, job search techniques and how to overcome barriers. In addition, provide coaching, encouragement, motivation and direction, as well as follow-up services. Assist the Aftercare Coach after employment to facilitate retention and continued growth within career path. Interface with local businesses to build positive relationships and viable employment opportunities benefiting candidates and the Mission. Work collaboratively with the Works! Center team to develop, establish and operate a Vocational Training Program.
Works! Center Supervisor (full-time)
Direct day-to-day activities; be familiar with all programs used by the Works! Center. Develop and implement programming to support and expand the educational and career goals of Works! Center participants. Maintain candidate records, both written and computer database. Must be able to substitute any position and function effectively.
Hope Clinic Coordinator (full-time)
Create and maintain medical records, assign and record patient numbers at Hope Clinic. Assist the Hope Clinic Supervisor as needed.
Food Services Supervisor (full-time)
Oversee and maintain the daily operations of the Rockford Rescue Mission culinary outlets according to set policies, procedures and guidelines. Responsible for directing food and beverage ordering, intake and inventory. Ensure all food donations are accurately received and inventoried. Ensure food is prepared and served in compliance with food safety and health department standards. Provide an excellent environment of hospitality through the delivery of outstanding customer service.
Cook (full-time or part-time)
Prepare and cook meals for residents, guests and community.
Stocker (part-time)
Manage incoming donations. Store food properly and in a timely manner. Keep the Receiving Area clean and organized.
Driver (part-time)
Under the supervision and direction of the Food Services Supervisor, safely and courteously pick up donations from designated donors and deliver to RRM.
Men’s Life Recovery Coordinator (full-time or part-time)
Evening/night and/or weekend positions available.
Oversee the overall physical, safety and spiritual needs of those residing in the Recovery Program during the night and early morning hours. Maintain a safe, non-threatening, drug- and alcohol-free environment. Assist Recovery Program staff in various clerical responsibilities. Be responsible for the security of the building housing complex.
Men’s Recovery Resident Advocate (full-time or part-time)
Case manage assigned residents by providing a comprehensive assessment that addresses the residents’ physical, emotional and spiritual health, support systems, educational needs and financial resources. Develop trusting relationships with residents to help them set and achieve goals. Actively participate in the character growth and development of residents. Offer advocacy and referral services. Provide assistance, encouragement, motivation and spiritual direction. Monitor safety and security of residents, visitors and volunteers.
Men’s Crisis Coordinator (full-time or part-time)
Evening/night and/or weekend positions available.
Minister to the spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs of the homeless individuals seeking emergency shelter. Implement program policies and procedures. Provide assistance, encouragement, motivation and direction to all Crisis guests. Monitor safety and security of Men’s Crisis guests, visitors and volunteers. Maintain a non-threatening, drug- and alcohol-free environment.
Men’s Crisis Guest Advocate (full-time or part-time)
Provide assistance, encouragement, motivation and direction for all Crisis guests. Monitor safety and security of Crisis guests, visitors and volunteers. Maintain a non-threatening, drug- and alcohol-free environment. Case manage all guests. Be actively involved in the character growth and development of the men in the Crisis Program.
Women’s Life Recovery Coordinator (full-time or part-time)
Evening/night and/or weekend positions available.

Thrift Store Processor (full-time or part-time)
Remove donations from vehicles. Give great customer service. Complete receipts for donations as needed. Prepare all merchandise for the sales floor. Indoor and outdoor working environment. Exposure to dust and other elements. Potential congested work area depending on volume of donations. Use of heavy equipment. Continual standing and moving on hard-surface floor.
Thrift Store Associate/Cashier (part-time)
Check out customers in an efficient and Christlike manner. Assist in the preparation of cash register drawers. Maintain the appearance of the sales floor by ensuring the continual maintenance of all areas. This includes replacing/rearranging merchandise throughout the day to ensure everything is in the proper place and displayed in a neat, shopper friendly way. Assist with timely transition from season to season and in pricing merchandise. Dress windows to attract customers and reflect the seasons.
Driver (full-time)
Drive the vehicle for the pick-up service of Thrift Store, as well as be responsible for donations received through this service.
