Rockford Rescue Mission, a non-profit Christian organization, has the following ministry employment opportunities available.
- Executive Administrative Assistant (full-time)
Provide general administrative support. Schedule meetings; prepare materials and presentations for the Executive Director and Leadership Team. Handle confidential information, including accurate and confidential filing, financial, personnel and other administrative documentation. Perform general administrative duties including processing mail and e-mail, answering phones and managing electronic records.
- Donor Systems Associate (part-time)
Assist in daily processing and acknowledgement of contributions. Update the donor database and mailing list. Prepare analytical reports using the database (Raiser’s Edge) software.
Ensure that every person who comes into contact with Rockford Rescue Mission either by telephone or in person is welcomed, encouraged and served in a Christ-like manner. Answer phone, determine the nature of the call and transfer or relay the information to the appropriate department. Monitor the front door and direct visitors according to the need. Assist in mailings. Complete other secretarial duties. Maintain confidentiality.
- Clinic Coordinator (part-time)
Greet patients and visitors to Hope Clinic. Treat patients and visitors in a friendly, welcoming, and compassionate manner. Update necessary records. File and organize patient documentation. Maintain confidentiality of all patient records.
- Volunteer Coordinator (full-time)
Manage, coordinate and lead the volunteer program of Rockford Rescue Mission Ministries. Participate in volunteer recruitment through events and speaking engagements.
- Culinary Services Supervisor (full-time)
Oversee and maintain the daily operations of the Rockford Rescue Mission culinary outlets, including Food Service and Restoration Café, according to set policies, procedures and guidelines. Responsible for directing food and beverage ordering, intake and inventory. Ensure all food donations are accurately received and inventoried. Responsible for ensuring food is prepared and served in compliance with food safety and health department standards. Provide an excellent environment of hospitality through the delivery of outstanding customer service.
- Cook (full-time, part-time)
Prepare and cook meals for Mission food service programs. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and surrounding food service areas.
- Men’s Life Recovery Weekend/Evening Coordinator (full-time, part-time)
Minister to the social, emotional, mental and physical needs of all Recovery Program clients. Oversee the safety and security of residents, clients, visitors and volunteers within the RRM facility. Guide resident activities. Utilize program principles and procedures in a spirit of compassion and respect. Demonstrate non-threatening conflict resolution and de-escalation skills. Assist in the growth and development of residents of the Recovery Program.
- Men’s Crisis Weekend/Evening Coordinator (2 part-time)
Minister to the spiritual, social, emotional, mental and physical needs of homeless individuals. Oversee the safety and security of all guests, visitors and volunteers within the RRM facility. Maintain a non-threatening, drug and alcohol-free environment. Oversee the registering and checking-in of crisis guests.
- Men’s Crisis Night Coordinator (full-time)
Minister to the spiritual, social, emotional, mental and physical needs of homeless individuals. Oversee the safety and security of all guests, visitors and volunteers within the RRM facility. Maintain a non-threatening, drug and alcohol-free environment. Oversee the evening and morning responsibilities for overnight shelter guests.
- Women’s Life Recovery Resident Advocate (full-time)
Provide case management by addressing residents’ physical, emotional and spiritual health, educational needs and financial resources. Develop trusting relationships with residents to help them achieve goals. Actively participate in the character growth and development of residents and offer advocacy and referral services.
- Women’s Life Recovery Weekend Coordinator (part-time)
Oversee the Women’s Life Recovery Program during weekend hours. Supervise and coordinate resident activity and in-house assignments. Insure the safety and security of residents, visitors and volunteers. Assist in the transportation of Recovery Program clients with outside appointments and events.
- Women’s Crisis Guest Advocate (full-time)
Minister to the spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs of homeless individuals seeking emergency shelter. Provide assistance, encouragement, motivation and direction to all Crisis guests. Monitor safety and security of Crisis guests, visitors and volunteers. Act as Case Manager for guests. Be actively involved in the character growth and development of the women in the Crisis Program.
- Women’s Crisis Evening Coordinator (full-time)
Minister to the spiritual, social, emotional, mental and physical needs of Crisis guests. Oversee the safety and security of all residents, visitors, and volunteers within the RRM facility. Maintain a non-threatening, drug and alcohol-free environment.
- Career Specialist / Vocational Trainer (full-time)
Help individuals successfully prepare for secure and career-oriented employment. Conduct candidate assessments. Teach candidates perspectives on employment, job-search techniques and how to overcome barriers. In addition, provide coaching, encouragement, motivation and direction, as well as follow-up services. Facilitate employment retention and continued growth within career path.
