Current Employment Opportunities

Rockford Rescue Mission, a non-profit Christian organization, has the following ministry employment opportunities available.

 

 

ADMINISTRATION

 

Donor Systems Associate (part-time)

 

Assist in processing and acknowledgement of contributions on a daily basis. Update the donor database and mailing list. Prepare analytical reports using the database (Raiser’s Edge) software.

 

 

 

RESTORATION CAFÉ

 

Café Associate (1 full-time or 2 part-time)

 

Assist with food and beverage preparation and ensure that the customer receives a superior product and friendly service. Maintain cleanliness of café and complete housekeeping duties. Adhere to proper food-handling procedures.

 

 

 

FACILITIES

 

Facilities Assistant (part-time)

 

Assist with special facilities projects and overall maintenance including grounds, HVAC systems and vehicle repair.

 

 

FOOD SERVICE

 

Cook (full-time, part-time)

 

Prepare and cook meals for Mission food service programs. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and surrounding food service areas.

 

 

 

MEN’S PROGRAMS

 

Men’s Life Recovery Aftercare Coach (part-time)

 

Oversee an effective Aftercare Program for both former Life Recovery residents and for current Stage 4 residents that upholds the program standards and positive outcomes.

 

 

Men’s Life Recovery Weekend Coordinator (part-time)

 

 

Men’s Crisis Weekend/Evening Coordinator (2 part-time)

 

Minister to the spiritual, social, emotional, mental and physical needs of homeless individuals. Oversee the safety and security of all residents, visitors and volunteers within the Rockford Rescue Mission facility. Maintain a non-threatening, drug-free and alcohol-free environment.

 

 

 

THRIFT STORE

 

Floor Associate/Cashier (part-time)

 

Provide exemplary customer service. Greet and assist customers. Maintain the appearance of the sales floor by replacing or rearranging merchandise throughout the day, ensuring displays are neat and shopper friendly, and assisting with seasonal changes of merchandise.

 

 

WOMEN’S PROGRAMS

 

Women’s Program Supervisor (Full-time)

 

Supervise all aspects of the Women’s Life Recovery, Women’s Crisis Center and Child Care Programs. Develop and maintain daily operational procedures to ensure positive outcomes for all guests/residents and children. Be actively involved in creating effective and accountable programs. Supervise program staff and volunteers. Responsible for the case management system and its effective use.

 

 

Guest Advocate (part-time)

 

Meet with residents and guests to discuss guidelines, daily procedures, problems and program needs. Act as an advocate for clients when needed. Advise and schedule classes. Provide assistance, encouragement, motivation and direction to residents and guests.

 

 

Women’s Crisis Evening Coordinator (full-time)

 

Minister to the spiritual, social, emotional, mental and physical needs of Crisis guests. Oversee the safety and security of all residents, visitors and volunteers within the Rockford Rescue Mission facility. Maintain a non-threatening, drug-free and alcohol-free environment.

 

 

 

WORKS! CENTER

 

Works! Center Supervisor (full-time)

Direct the day-to-day activities of the Works! Center. Develop and implement programming to support and expand the educational and career goals of participants. Maintain candidate records, coordinate schedules, prepare statistics and reports, and forge positive relationships with area agencies and businesses.

 

Career Specialist  (part-time)

Assist individuals to successfully prepare, secure and thrive in career path employment. Conduct assessments and follow-up services. Provide coaching, encouragement, motivation and direction.
