Rockford Rescue Mission, a non-profit Christian organization, has the following ministry employment opportunities available:

 

ADMINISTRATION

 

Chief Program Officer (full-time)

Pursue the accomplishment of agreed-upon outcome goals for Life Recovery residents and Crisis guests by analyzing, strengthening, changing, systematizing and integrating Mission’s programs. Provide motivation, direction, training and other assistance to the directors of respective programs.

 

Chief Development Officer (full-time)

Coordinate development activities, special events, volunteer relations and functions of the development department. Lead the development team in promoting and representing the ministries of the Mission. Communicate our vision and purpose and secure support and resources to enable and facilitate the purpose and vision of Rockford Rescue Mission.

 

Retail Director (full-time)

Develop short- and long-term plans for Thrift Store and Nettie’s. Provide overall management to the daily operations of Thrift Store and Nettie’s thereby increasing revenue for program development.

 

Facilities Director (full-time)

Responsible for maintaining safe, secure and clean facilities in compliance with all applicable standards and requirements. Ensure preventative and ongoing maintenance and repairs of buildings, properties and equipment at all Mission locations. Responsible for supervising departmental employees and managing vehicle fleet.

 

Volunteer Supervisor (full-time)

Manage, coordinate and be responsible for the volunteer program of Rockford Rescue Mission.

 

Accountant (Entry Level) (full-time)

Assist the Finance Director with accounting duties with an eagerness to learn new responsibilities and demonstrate accounting skills while communicating effectively (orally and written), working hard and being reliable.

 

Donor Systems Associate (full-time)

Assist with donor tracking and data input for annual giving, end-of-year giving and special appeals. Assist in operation of systems and processes for regular, meaningful acknowledgement and recognition of donors. Regularly work with confidential information.

 

Chaplain (part-time)

Provide pastoral and spiritual guidance and care for the Mission’s staff, guests and residents.

 

FACILITIES

 

Facilities Associate (full-time and part-time)

Assist with the overall maintenance, repairs and special projects of facilities and vehicles.

 

FOOD SERVICES

 

Cook (full-time and part-time)

Prepare and cook meals for residents, guests and community.

 

Stocker (part-time)

Manage incoming donations. Store food properly and in a timely manner. Keep the Receiving Area clean and organized.

 

MEN’S PROGRAMS

 

Men’s Life Recovery Resident Advocate (full-time)

Case manage assigned residents by providing a comprehensive assessment that addresses their physical, emotional and spiritual health, support systems, educational needs and financial resources. Develop trusting relationships with residents to help them achieve goals. Actively participate in the character growth and development of residents. Offer advocacy and referral services. Provide assistance, encouragement, motivation and spiritual direction. Monitor safety and security of residents, visitors and volunteers.

 

Men’s Life Recovery Aftercare Coach (part-time)

Create, implement and manage an effective Aftercare Program for former Life Recovery residents. Create, implement and manage an Alumni Association for all former residents who desire to participate. Promote investment in the Mission through volunteer service and financial support.

 

Men’s Crisis Evening and Weekend Coordinator (part-time)

Minister to the spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs of the homeless individuals seeking emergency shelter. Implement program policies and procedures. Provide assistance, encouragement, motivation, and direction to all Crisis guests. Monitor safety and security of Men’s Crisis guests, visitors and volunteers. Maintain a non-threatening, drug- and alcohol-free environment.

 

Men’s Life Recovery Night and Weekend Coordinator (part-time)

Oversee the overall physical, safety and spiritual needs of those residing in the Recovery Program during the night and early morning hours. Maintain a safe, non-threatening, drug- and alcohol-free environment. Assist Recovery Program staff in various clerical responsibilities. Be responsible for the security of the building housing complex.

 

 

NETTIE’S MERCANTILE

 

Nettie’s Associate/Cashier (part-time)

Assist customers in an efficient and Christlike manner. Help prepare cash register drawers. Maintain the appearance of the sales floor, including replacing/rearranging merchandise throughout the day, arranging displays in a neat, shopper-friendly way. Assist with timely transition from season to season. Aid in the pricing of merchandise.

 

PERFORMING ARTS CENTER

 

Performing Arts Coordinator (part-time)

Coordinate the activities in the Performing Arts Center. Facilitate weekly music class for residents, emphasizing the importance of worship and providing exposure to various instruments and styles of music. Facilitate weekly individual music lessons for residents, enabling them to explore music as a means for worship, healing and expression. Prepare residents to perform group musical selections. Incorporate the use of the recording studio as a means of installing confidence in the residents and for the production of promotional materials. Build relationships with individuals in the arts and church community as a means of enlisting volunteer instructors to teach piano, voice, guitar, drums, dance, etc. Foster partnerships with organizations within the arts community to provide quarterly music outings for residents. Oversee the upkeep of all instruments and equipment in the Performing Arts Center.

 

THRIFT STORE

Thrift Store Processor (part-time)

Prepare merchandise for the sales floor.

 

WOMEN’S PROGRAMS
