Rockford Rescue Mission, a non-profit Christian organization, has the following ministry employment opportunities available:

 

 

ADMINISTRATION

Chief Administration Officer (full-time)

Provide support, oversight, leadership and direction to the Finance, Human Resources, and Information Technology departments, insuring adequate staffing and optimal operation. Oversee and direct systems and processes in accordance with Mission goals, objectives and applicable compliance. Responsible for oversight of operating budget, departmental staffing, financial reporting and policies and procedures.

 

Chief Operations Officer (full-time)

Oversee, lead, develop, manage and coordinate overall Mission operations, including the departments of Facilities, Thrift Store and Nettie’s Mercantile. Facilities management includes building and property maintenance, inspections and staff supervision. Retail management of Thrift Store and Nettie’s Mercantile includes overseeing employees, finances, production and customer service.

 

Executive Administrative Assistant (full-time)

Provide general administrative support and carry out the established administrative procedures in alignment with RRM’s mission and values. Schedule meetings; prepare materials and presentations for the Executive Director and Leadership Team. Handle confidential information, including accurate and confidential filing, financial, personnel and other administrative documentation. Perform general administrative duties including processing mail and e-mail, answering phones and managing electronic records.

 

Human Resources Director (full-time)

Specialized work in developing and maintaining the Human Resources department of Rockford Rescue Mission including human resources policies and procedures, payroll program, compensation and job classifications, recruitment program, employee benefit plans, employee training and development, employee relations, initiatives and activities, human resource information system and departmental files. Assist and advise all departments in human resource matters.

 

 

FACILITIES

Facilities Assistant (full-time and part-time)

Assist with the overall maintenance, repairs and special projects of facilities and vehicles. Maintain all Mission facilities. Assist in lawn care and snow removal. Ensure that the Mission properties are clean and free of litter and debris. Address emergency situations and support special events.

 

 

FOOD SERVICE

Cook (full-time, part-time)

Prepare and cook meals for Mission food service programs. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and surrounding food service areas.

 

Driver (part-time)

Safely and courteously pick up donations from designated donors and deliver to RRM.  Determine whether a donation can be accepted and communicate to each donor. Assist in loading and loading of goods and donations. Operate Mission vehicles in a safe manner at all times, complying with all laws and policies.

 

 

MEN’S PROGRAMS

Men’s Life Recovery Evening/Weekend Coordinator (full-time, part-time)

Minister to the social, emotional, mental and physical needs of all Recovery Program clients. Oversee the safety and security of residents, clients, visitors and volunteers within the RRM facility. Guide resident activities. Utilize program principles and procedures in a spirit of compassion and respect. Demonstrate non-threatening, conflict resolution and de-escalation skills. Assist in the growth and development of residents of the program.

 

Men’s Crisis Evening/Weekend Coordinator (full-time, part-time)

Minister to the spiritual, social, emotional, mental and physical needs of homeless individuals.  Oversee the safety and security of all guests, visitors and volunteers within the RRM facility.  Maintain a non-threatening, drug- and alcohol-free environment.  Oversee the registering and checking-in of Crisis guests.

 

Men’s Crisis Night Coordinator (full-time)

 

 

NETTIE’S MERCANTILE

Floor Associate (part-time)

Assist customers in an efficient and Christlike manner. Maintain the appearance of the sales floor, including replacing/rearranging merchandise throughout the day, arranging displays in a neat, shopper-friendly way. Provide friendly customer transactions and excellent customer service. Aid in the pricing of merchandise. Dress windows to attract customers and reflect the seasons.

 

 

THRIFT STORE

Driver (full-time)

Processor (part-time)

Prepare and sort merchandise for the sales floor. Inspect clothing donations for cleanliness and style. Test appliances and electronics to ensure good working condition. Determine the retail value of items, price, size and tag merchandise.

 

Cashier (part time)

 

 

WOMEN’S PROGRAMS

Women’s Life Recovery Weekend Coordinator (part-time)

Oversee the Women’s Life Recovery Program during weekend hours. Supervise and coordinate resident activity and in-house assignments. Ensure the safety and security of residents, visitors and volunteers. Assist in the transportation of Recovery Program clients with outside appointments and events.

 

Women’s Crisis Weekend Coordinator (full-time)

 

Women’s Life Recovery Resident Advocate (part-time)

 

Women’s Life Recovery Float (part-time)

 

Women’s Crisis Guest Advocate (full-time)

Minister to the spiritual, social, emotional, mental and physical needs of Crisis guests. Oversee the safety and security of all residents, visitors and volunteers within the RRM facility. Maintain a non-threatening, drug- and alcohol-free environment.

 

Women’s Crisis Evening/Weekend Coordinator (full-time, part-time)
